How this calculator works:
This calculator uses a method similar to the World Handicap System:
- Calculates the Score Differential for each round
- Selects the best Score Differentials based on the number of scores provided
- Calculates the average of the selected Score Differentials
- Applies a 96% multiplier to determine the Handicap Index
Note: This method does not account for exceptional scores or the Playing Conditions Calculation (PCC) used in the official World Handicap System calculation.
How Do I Use This Calculator?
Using this calculator is straightforward:
- Enter Your Scores: You can input up to 20 rounds of golf. If you have fewer rounds, just leave the remaining fields empty—our calculator will only count the rounds you’ve provided.
- Fill in Course Ratings: Each round should include the Course Rating and Slope Rating. You can find these details on your scorecard or the golf club’s website. If you’re unsure, ask the club directly.
